Body of man found in Lake Norfork

The Baxter County sheriff's office is investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Saturday afternoon in Lake Norfork near Pigeon Creek, according to a news release.

The body, presumed to be that of a man 35-40 years old, was found by people fishing at "Wolfley Hole" and is believed to have been in the water for several days, the release said.

Personal articles were found on the lake bank, but law enforcement official were still working Saturday evening to positively identify the man, according to the release.

The body will be sent to the state medical examiners office in Little Rock for autopsy, the release said.
