The University of Central Arkansas (8-16, 7-6 Southland Conference) outscored McNeese State 12-6 in overtime Saturday to come away with a victory at H&HP Arena in Lake Charles, La.
Rylan Bergersen led UCA with 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor.
The Bears hit 4 of 7 shots in overtime, including 3 three-pointers, and shot 41.4% (29 of 70) from the floor overall. The Cowboys hit 3 of 9 shots in overtime, missing all four three-point attempts, but still shot 40% (26-65) from the floor. UCA was outrebounded 45-44 and was outscored in the lane 36-28, but the Bears had 12 second-chance points, 14 fast-break points and turned 11 McNeese State turnovers into 15 points.
Eddy Kayouloud had 14 points for UCA, Hayden Koval added 12, and Deandre Jones and Jaxson Baker chipped in with 10 each. Shamarkus Kennedy scored a game-high 22 points for McNeese State (12-12, 7-6), while Myles Hutchinson poured in 19, A.J. Lawson added 14 and Dru Kuxhausen 12.
SWAC MEN
Alabama A&M 58, UAPB 54
Cameron Alford tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds to carry Alabama A&M to a victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff at H.O. Clemmons Arena in Pine Bluff.
Cameron Tucker had 10 points for Alabama A&M (6-15, 3-7 Southwestern Athletic Conference), which ended its six-game losing streak.
Terrance Banyard had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Golden Lions (3-19, 2-8), whose losing streak reached seven games.
Markedric Bell, who led the Golden Lions in scoring heading into the contest with 10 points per game, was held to four points.
The Bulldogs swept the season series after beating the Golden Lions 59-49 on Jan. 11.
SUN BELT WOMEN
GEORGIA STATE 58, UALR 43
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock was held to 29.4% from the floor as the Trojans saw a five-game winning streak snapped with Saturday's loss to Georgia State in Atlanta.
The Panthers (6-16, 3-8 Sun Belt) earned their first victory over the Trojans since 2014 by shooting 45.7% (21 of 46) from the floor and outrebounding UALR 41-22. Georgia State also outscored UALR 20-8 in the lane. Taylor Hosendove led all players with 23 points, while Taylor Henderson had 12, and Tehya Lyons and Moriah Taylor added 10 each.
Sydney Chastain led UALR (10-12, 8-3) with 13 points and was the only Trojan with 10 or more points. The loss denied Coach Joe Foley his 800th career victory and dropped UALR to third in the Sun Belt standings.
GEORGIA SOUTHERN 80,
ARKANSAS STATE 67
Georgia Southern (7-15, 4-7) opened the second half on an 18-2 run that allowed the Eagles to take a 26-point lead on their way to a victory over Arkansas State at Hanner Fieldhouse in Statesboro, Ga.
The Red Wolves (9-13, 6-5) outscored the Eagles 27-18 in the fourth quarter, with Jireh Washington scoring 11 of her team-leading 20 points in the quarter. Morgan Wallace added 17 points, including two three-pointers.
Jaiden Hamilton led Georgia Southern with 25 points, including seven three-pointers. Tatum Barber added 14 points. The Eagles outrebounded the Red Wolves 55-27 and shot 44% (28 of 63) from the floor, including 40% (10 of 25) from the three-point line.

CENTRAL ARKANSAS 70,
McNEESE STATE 49
The University of Central Arkansas (11-11, 7-6 Southland Conference) won its third consecutive game and earned its ninth consecutive victory over McNeese State (5-17, 2-11) at the Farris Center in Conway.
The Sugar Bears outscored the Cowgirls 38-8 in the lane and shot 47.5% from the floor. Briana Trigg led the way for Central Arkansas, scoring a career-high 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting while grabbing 11 rebounds in 38 minutes. Terri Crawford and Taylor Sells added 11 points each.
UCA outrebounded McNeese State 42-28 and scored 26 points off 12 turnovers. The 70 points equals UCA's highest total against an NCAA Division I opponent this season, matching their total in their first victory against McNeese State, 70-67 on Jan. 4 in Lake Charles, La.
SWAC WOMEN
ALABAMA A&M 65, UAPB 52
Alabama A&M outscored the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff 39-19 in the first half, including 16-9 in the second quarter, to beat the Golden Lions at H.O. Clemmons Arena in Pine Bluff.
The Bulldogs (10-11, 6-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference) shot 41.9% (26 of 62) from the floor, including 6 of 15 from the three-point line. They outrebounded the Golden Lions 40-34, got 30 points off the bench and scored 13 points off turnovers. UAPB (4-16, 3-7) outscored Alabama A&M 36-32 in the lane while shooting 40.4% (21 of 52) from the floor. The Golden Lions made only 1 of 7 three-pointers and 9 of 30 free throws.
Noe'll Taylor scored a game-high 22 points for UAPB, while Aiya El Hassan added 15. Deshawna Harper led Alabama A&M with 16 points, Dariauna Lewis added 15 and Nigeria Jones chipped in with 12.
