Cobb-Vantress appointed Fayetteville resident Dr. Mark Cooper as managing director of genetics to oversee the company's global genetic program.

Jay K. Bhama, M.D., has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as a heart surgeon, professor and chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery.

Paula Mercer, LCSW, a licensed social worker, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors.

New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University has promoted Ben Woodruff to director of clinical education and hired Brian Brown and Tiffny Calloway as regional administrators for Northeast Arkansas.

Tracy V. Dunbar has been named chair of the Department of Agriculture for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Colliers International Arkansas recently named Amy Meins of Little Rock and Megan Murdock of Rogers shareholders with the firm.
