Man gets 10 years for dealing drugs

A Prescott man was sentenced in U.S. District Court in El Dorado on Tuesday for conspiring to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Larry Peters Jr., 37, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, according to the office of David Clay Fowlkes, acting U.S. attorney for the Western District of Arkansas.

U.S. District Judge Susan Hickey presided over the sentencing hearing.

Peters was indicted in May 2019, a news release states. He entered a guilty plea in October. Assistant U.S. Attorney Graham Jones prosecuted the case for the Western District of Arkansas.
