Teen dies in altercation over theft
On May 3, 2012, 14-year-old Michael Stanley Jr. of Little Rock was involved in the theft of a wallet, belonging to 58-year-old Michael David Sadler, also of Little Rock. In the events that followed, Sadler admitted to chasing Stanley - who was fleeing on a bicycle - in his minivan, ultimately running him over and beating him afterward. Stanley died of his injuries at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
