Arkansas Coach John L. Smith said Wednesday the most recently arrested Razorbacks football players will not be back in school until they resolve legal issues and that there is no certainty they will all return to the program.

Who’s in, who’s out? The Sun Belt Conference announced the addition of Texas-Arlington to the league as of July 1, 2013 on Wednesday. It’s the third addition, joining Georgia State and Texas State, the conference has made since April 9. After the departures of Denver, Florida International and North Texas over the next year, the makeup of the conference UALR and Arkansas State joined in 1991 will have significantly changed.

SOUTHLAND TOURNAMENT SE LOUISIANA 6, UCA 3 SAN MARCOS, Texas — Southeastern Louisiana’s bullpen closed the door on Central Arkansas’ chances to win its first Southland Conference Tournament game, beating the Bears 6-3 on Wednesday night in a first-round game at Bobcat Ballpark The seventh-seeded Bears (25-29 ) led for 5 1/2 innings in their first postseason tournament appearance since moving to Division I. But once the second-seeded Lions (37-19 ) got the lead, reliever Dylan Hills and closer Stefan Lopez shut down the Bears, allowing 1 hit and striking out 5 over the final 3 innings, to earn a meeting with host Texas State today. Lopez recorded his NCAA-leading 20th save.
