Ulysses Stroud, age 98, of Scotland, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, December 15, 2010. He was born February 1, 1912 in Scotland, Arkansas, a son of William Stroud and Minnie Bost Stroud and was the widower of Mildred Bernice Campbell Stroud. Mr. Stroud was a retired poultry and cattle farmer, member of New Liberty Church of Christ and World War II Army veteran who received two bronze stars for his service. Survivors include his son, Jimmy Stroud and wife Julie of Hector, and daughter, Linda Mullen and husband, Donnie of Oktaha, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Josh Stroud, Jayne Stroud, Amanda Mullen, and Alecia Mullen. Other than his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde, Velmon, Ernest and Sherman Stroud, and two sisters, Helen Osborne, and Climentine Stroud. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 20, at New Liberty Church of Christ with burial at Liberty Springs Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
