Raymond Carroum

Raymond Carroum, 96, of Smackover passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 at Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born November 13, 1914 in Little Rock, Ark. to Antonio Salmon Carroum and Vera Hanson Carroum. Before retiring Raymond was self employed for Carroum Dry Goods, he was a mason and a member of the Lion's Club and First Baptist Church of Smackover. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Odie Belle Lowery, one brother and one sister. Survivors include two brothers, Hiram Carroum and wife Juanita of Jacksonville, Fla. and Haynie Carroum and wife Helen of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; one sister, Elouise Lambert of Snyder, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday at Smackover Cemetery with Jeff & Tod Lambert officiating and under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, Ark. 71730.
