Betty Harrison Ingram left this life peacefully on Thursday evening, July 22, 2010 in her West Memphis, Ark. home. She is survived by her devoted husband of 24 years, Keith M. Ingram and by her three married children and seven grandchildren. They are: John Harrison Jones (Palmer), their children, Sarah, 17 and Mia, 8, Memphis, Tenn.; Julie Jones Smythe (Ham IV), and their children, Louise, 22; Mary Claire, 20; and William, 17, Memphis, Tenn. Also, Lt. Colonel David Jones (Cindy), and their children Wesley, 17 and Bailey, 13 of Germantown Tenn. Betty's parents, Leonard and Mary Harrison, lived in Lepanto where she was raised and schooled. She was a dedicated spouse, mother, grandmother and friend. Betty's kindness, gentle spirit, humility and grace earned her the respect of those close to her. Visitation will be in Deneke Hall, First United Methodist Church in West Memphis, Ark. at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 25. Funeral Services will begin at 3 p.m., Sunday at the church, followed by interment at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark.. Roller Citizens Funeral home will facilitate. (870-735-1000). Betty and her family wish to express special gratitude to friends Barbara Moore, Leta Durrett and Caryl Sorrells; to Hospice of Crittenden Regional Hospital for their wonderful care and to the many caring friends who helped bring much needed comfort and support during this past year. Betty requested that in lieu of flowers any memorials could be sent to newly established Betty H. Ingram Hospice Fund, c/o Crittenden Regional Hospital, P.O. Box 2248, West Memphis, Ark.
