James Edward Bryant

Funeral services for James Edward Bryant, 78, of Monroe, were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Dr. Larry Stafford officiating. Graveside services were at 5 p.m. Sunday at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan, Ark. Mr. Bryant passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 at St. Francis North Hospital. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and graduated from the University of Arkansas in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Bryant worked for International Paper, Ford Bacon and Davis, and consulted for Potlatch in Arkansas. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and golfer. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Eddie Bryant; and sisters, Jeanette Long and Mildred DeJarnette Womble Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Bryant; sons, Tracy Bryant and wife Karen, Brent Bryant and wife Tracie, and Kyle Bryant; grandchildren, Kristyn, Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, and Jake; sisters, Polly Camper and Maxine Montieth of Pine Bluff, Ark.; mother-in-law, Fain Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
