Irene McFadden Hanley

Mrs. Irene (McFadden) Hanley, 98, of the McFadden Community of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, departed this life Wednesday, June 2, 2010. She was born December 27, 1911 at Eightmile, the daughter of E.E. and Sally Lee McFadden. Mrs. Hanley was a homemaker, and had previously managed Peacock Egg Processing Plant, and was a Post Mistress at McFadden. She was a member of the McFadden Church of Christ until it merged with the Beedeville Church of Christ. Mrs. Hanley was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and picking pecans. She was known for raising beautiful flowers. Mrs. Hanley was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Samuel Hanley; one son, Raymond Jefferson Hanley; and one daughter, Sallye Josephine Hanley Luckner. She is survived by two sons, James Earl Hanley and wife Phyllis of Edgemont, Arkansas and Sam Lynn Hanley and wife Jan of Atkins, Arkansas; one daughter, Jackye Sue Hanley Peacock and husband Jim of Beedeville, Arkansas; one brother, B. T. McFadden of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Ermyl McFadden Pearle of McFadden Community; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Beedeville Church of Christ with Mr. Gary Elliott officiating. Interment will be in Eightmile Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 6-7:30 p.m. at Jackson's Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Chris Peacock, Shawn Peacock, Tony Hanley, Scott Hanley, Paul Hanley, Vance Luckner, Kenny Pearle, and Bart Gaskin.
