Ralph John Friedmann Jr., of Little Rock died on June 8, 2010, at the age of 79 from injuries sustained in an accident in March. He is survived by his sons Ralph III and his wife Suzanne, Curt, Karl, his wife Dorothy (Dottie); his grandsons Jordan and George; his brothers Bob and Ray; and his sisters Joyce (Young), Cleta (Howell), Marie (Cottrell) and Germaine (Holden). Ralph (RJ) was born in Brownsville, Texas on May 13, 1931, the eldest son among eight children. He served in the Marines during the Korean War, returning home to finish his college education at the University of Texas. He was a Certified Public Accountant who later earned his MBA degree from the University of Chicago. Ralph was married for 55 years to his hometown sweetheart, Myra, who passed away in 2008. Ralph was a much loved father and grandfather. A successful businessman, Ralph pursued life with an infectious, positive attitude and touched the lives of many people during his work career. He spent his first career as an executive with Amoco Oil and retired in 1986. He then moved to Little Rock to start the first of his successful companies, Nursefinder's of Little Rock and Arjay Services. Later he was a founder and principal of InteliStaf Healthcare and until his passing, Care IV Home Health. Ralph enjoyed exercising and his daily walks. He was also passionate about reading and investing. He read balance sheets and income statements the way others read novels. He was always searching for the next great company and investing opportunity. Ralph was a devout Catholic and supported many charities. He was a man of principals and moral bearing; his smiling presence will be missed by many. A visitation will be held on Friday, from 3 until 5 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 5 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway (501) 224-8300. A funeral mass in his honor will be held on Saturday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham Road.
