Jimmie W. Wilcox, 80, of Springhill, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, at his home. He was born February 7, 1930, in Springhill, a son of the late Fred B. and Velma (Roberts) Wilcox. His brothers, Freddie and George Wiley Wilcox, and a sister, Joy Wilcox also preceded him in death. Mr. Wilcox was a farmer, and had also worked in dairy farming, livestock, cotton farming, mobile home park owner/operator, and real estate. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. He and Mary Joyce were married November 8, 1953. Survivors are his wife, Mary Joyce (Newberry) Wilcox, of Springhill; sons, Wayne Wilcox and wife Jamie (Smith) of Springhill; Jim Wilcox and wife Phyllis (Cleland) of Waldron; grandchildren, Jessie Wilcox of Springhill; Amie Wilcox of Waldron; Stephen Jones and wife Ana of Rogers; one great-granddaughter, Layla Jones of Rogers; sisters, Oneida Milam of Springhill and Jewell Loveless and husband Gene of Conway. Funeral will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Springhill Baptist Church with Bros. Ed Stephenson and Gaylon King officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery.
