James O. Brown

James O. Brown was born in Waynesboro, Virginia May 14, 1911 and passed June 16, 2010 at the age of 99. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He moved to Osceola with Crompton Company, Inc. in 1954, where he was employed for 47 ½ years. James was married to Lillian Conner Brown for 59 years, who preceded him in death. He was a lifelong member of Presbyterian Church. He is survived by and was a wonderful father to six children; four sons: Franklin Brown of Clearfield, Utah, Dean Brown of Osceola, Arkansas, Philip Brown of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Jimmy Brown of El Cajon, California; two daughters: Carroll Hall of Copperas Cove, Texas and Mary Beth Chipman of Manila, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith Whetzel of Waynesboro, Virginia. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola, Arkansas. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Roller-Swift Chapel.
