Billy Charles Woodell, 73, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, formerly of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away at his home on November 16, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born March 19, 1937, in Collins, Arkansas to William Charles and Mary Ellen Woodell. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy Spann Woodell; two sons, Bill Jr., and his wife Christine of Little Rock, and Bobby and his wife Julie of Durham, North Carolina; two daughters, Shara Johnson and her husband Mark of Rector, Arkansas and Ashlee Anderson and her husband Tim of Byhalia, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Lexis Johnson, Ryland Johnson, Cassidy Woodell, Camber Woodell, Amelia Anderson and Trinity Anderson; three brothers, Ernest of Malvern, Arkansas, James of Searcy, and John of Boyertown, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Alpha Benton of San Antonio, Texas and Barbara Crabb of Cabot, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, WC Jr., and Richard; a sister, Alta Purifoy. Bill served in the United States Air Force and he and Kathy owned over the years, two printing companies, Mini Print of Jacksonville and Bill's Printing of Searcy, and BW Printing Equipment Company. Bill knew the Lord Jesus Christ, he loved life, and never met a stranger. His hobbies were bowling and gardening. He leaves behind many relatives and friends who loved him. The family will receive visitors at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of Bill's life will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the River of Life Church in Judsonia, Arkansas.
