Claudia E. Cole

Claudia E. Cole, age 85, of Sardis, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010. She and her late husband of 51 years, Deward Cole owned and operated Cole's Grocery in the East End Community for several years and later retired from the Landmark Pharmacy. She was a member of the East Union Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alma Crone and two brothers, Dean and John Crone, all of the Sardis Community. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Deanna Cole of Sardis; a grandson, Grant Cole of Sardis; granddaughter, Brooke Williamson and husband, Brent of Benton; four great-granddaughters: Kallie, Claire, Camryn and Breanna. She is also survived by one sister, Faye Moren of Sardis and by three brothers, Jim Crone of Sardis, Ray Crone of Cabot and Bob Crone of Fort Worth, Texas. A celebration of Claudia's life will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2010 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Roberts and Dr. Paul Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in the East End Community.
