Elsie Soan Brands

On Nov. 25, 2010, Elsie Sloan Brands left her beloved family and was greeted at Heaven's gate. Born on Valentine's Day, 1931 she was 79 years of age. Elsie leaves behind her family, sons, Michael and Glenda Brands of Grayville, Ill., Jerry and Brenda Brands of Catoosa, Okla., three grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Brands of Scotts Bluff, Neb., Matthew and Stacey Brands of Thayer, Kan., and Nathan and Kelsey Brands of Kansas City, Mo. There are also two granddaughters Megan Brands, Aubrey Brands both of Tulsa. There also left three great-grandchildren, Allysha, Ethan and Grace Brands. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Brands, parents, Daniel and Ellen Sloan, and brother T A Sloan. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 Somers Avenue Church of Christ in North Little Rock with interment following in Mulberry Cemetery, in England, Ark. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. until service time at the church. Elsie requested in lieu of flowers donations to be given to the Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Mo., to the Gerald Brands Family Scholarship Fund.
