Velma Caple

Velma Caple, age 94, of Texarkana, Texas passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010. She was born on July 18, 1916 in Sweet Home, Arkansas to the late Alfred and Ruth Thomas Wright. Velma was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church in Sweet Home, Ark. and retired after 30 years from Arkansas Secretary of State's office in Little Rock, Ark. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Franklin Caple in 2001; sister, Helen Wright Tatem; and brother, James A. Wright. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Sara and Dale Vickers of Nash, Texas; Barbara and Don Hoggard of Oxford, Miss.; four grandchildren: Rob Vickers, Phil Vickers, Megan Hoggard Doggett and Cade Hoggard; One great grandchild: Truman Vickers; also survived by Helen Wright, sister-in-law. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Rest Hills Memorial Park with a visitation from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to service at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72117 (501) 835-3515.
