Teddy J. Feimster

Teddy J. Feimster died on Sunday, September 5th, 2010 in Overland Park, Kansas. Ted was born near Okolona on November 7, 1919. He served from Jan. 1941 until Sept. 1945 in the Army Air Corps, 7th Fighter Squadron and saw action in New Guinea. He graduated from Henderson State College in Business in 1948. He worked in the insurance business in Galveston and Little Rock for 27 years and in Arkansas State government as an auditor. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Edna Feimster of Gurdon; his wife of 64 years, Norma Barnes Feimster; his brother, William Feimster; and his sister, Dale Weeks. He is survived by his sister, Betsy Keeton Love of Van Buren; his brother-in-law, Zeke Barnes of Houston; his son, Jim Feimster and Jeannie of Kansas City; his daughter Diane Rhodes and Ron of Houston; his grandsons Wes Feimster and Tara of Tampa, Dr. Jason Rhodes and Cathie of Denver, Dan Feimster and Kelly of Kansas City, and Dr. Kyle Rhodes and Cecillia Nguyen of Austin; and his great-grandchildren, Hayden Ann Feimster of Kansas City and Colin Theodore Feimster of Tampa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church or the Good Shepherd Ecumenical Retirement Center, both in Little Rock. A memorial service will be held on a date to be announced at Pulaski Heights.
