Ethel Ruth Jones-Harrison

Ethel Ruth Jones-Harrison, 69 of Kansas City, Mo. was promoted to her heavenly home on March 30, 2011. She was born Jan. 25, 1942 in Hermitage, Ark. to Hazel Jones and Catherine Bradley. Ethel graduated from Horace Mann High School-Class of 1961 in Little Rock, Ark. She completed her college education at Shorter College in North Little Rock, Ark. After moving to Kansas City, Mo., she worked 27 years for the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City - St. Joseph working at St. Theresa Little Flower School and St. Monica School as a teacher. Ethel was well known for her love of children. Ethel is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Emma Edwards. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sons, Michael Davis, Carlos (Krinai) Harrison, LeAndre Harrison, Shaun Harrison; devoted daughter, Felicia Harrison; brothers, Willie D. (Georgia) Jones, Jerry (Alice) Strickland; sister, Pamela Jones; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous loving relatives and friends. The Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12 noon, Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 688 Jones Rd. Perla, Ark. 72104. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
