Dianna K. Goodnight

Dianna K. Goodnight, 56, White Hall, died Wednesday, at her home. Mrs. Goodnight was born February 25, 1955, in Beaumont, Texas, to the late Derrell Gene and Jane N. Haygood Leonard. She was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff where she graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1973. She attended Arkansas State University and Northwest Missouri State, where she received her Master's Degree. Mrs. Goodnight was currently a teacher at White Hall High School, where she taught Principles of Technology. Mrs. Goodnight had also taught in the Pine Bluff School District. She had taught school for 34 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of White Hall, where she served as Church Treasurer, and AWANA Commander. She was also an active youth leader at the church. Her survivors include her husband, Larry W. Goodnight (whom she married March 29, 1987, in Pine Bluff); son, Leonard Wright Goodnight of White Hall; daughter, Kimberly Jane Goodnight of White Hall; sisters, Sandra Lynn Leonard of Redfield and Carol Ann (John) Ryfa of Ft. Mohave, Arizona; uncles, Dennis and Dale Leonard; aunt, Barbara Carpenter; a nephew, Jerry Walters, Jr.; niece, Cassandra Thornton; and a great nephew, Austin Thornton. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 10, 2011, from 2-4 p.m., at Robinson's. Funeral services: Monday, 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church of White Hall with Reverends Paul Williams and Bob Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warren.
