Annie Jean Henderson

Annie Jean Henderson, 84, passed away Tuesday at her home. She was born November 1, 1926, in Humphrey to Edmond and Laura Louise Poole Simpson. She was a former Home Demonstration Club member and 4-H leader. She was a faithful member of Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of Helping Hands. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Edwards Hicks; one brother; and four sisters. Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Marvin Henderson; son, Roger Henderson of Humphrey; daughter, Marva Bradshaw of Mayflower; brother, Carl Simpson of Stuttgart; sisters, Norma Harvill of Humphrey, Muriel Farrell of Sacramento, Calif., and Kathlyn Arledge-Johnson of Garland, Texas; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Sunshine Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
