Elizabeth Nutt

Elizabeth (Betty) Lester Nutt passed away April 18, 2011, following a brief illness. Mrs. Nutt was born October 19, 1932, in Bradley, Arkansas. She retired from the Lewisville School District after 27 years of teaching and was a former owner of the Lester's Stores in Lewisville, Arkansas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisville where she served many years as organist and vocalist. Mrs. Nutt was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Helen Lester and her brother, John Gordon Maryman. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, L.C. Nutt Jr.; her sons, Ed Nutt and wife, Jodie, and Ralph Nutt and wife, Leslie, all of Lewisville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Melanie Ladner and husband, Kelton of Magnolia, Ark., Stephen Nutt and wife, Lindsay of Lewisville, Ark., James Nutt of Fayetteville, Ark., and Ashley Nutt of Nashville, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, Bailey and Logan Ladner of Magnolia, Ark., and Luke and Lainey Nutt of Lewisville, Ark.; one brother, Mack Lester and wife, Melinda of Lewisville, Ark.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, Ark., with Bro. Howard Cole officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes in Stamps, AR. The family will be at the home of L.C. Nutt in Lewisville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lewisville, Ark.
