Jo Ann Estes Hawkins

Jo Ann Estes Hawkins, age 75, of Houston, Arkansas, went to be with Lord Jesus Christ on April 19, 2011 in Perryville, Arkansas. The daughter of Joe Henry and Mary Ellen Estes. Jo Ann was born on March 16,1936, in Yellville, Arkansas. When she was eleven her family moved to Burley, Idaho. She grew up there and graduated from Burley High School. This is where she met her husband Roland James Hawkins as he was there visiting his sister Vollie and brother Bud Clark. She loves her savior Jesus Christ and was a shining example of a Christian. Jo Ann was a devoted wife as well as a loving mother and grandmother. Her home was always open to friends and family! She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roland; her brothers, Harold and Howard Estes of Idaho; her sons, Gaylon Hawkins and wife Jennifer of Burkburnett, Texas, and Kevin Hawkins and wife Susie of Springfield, Arkansas; daughters, Jo Ellen Caudell and husband Gary of Harris Brake, and Joy Lovell and husband Brian of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren, Nicholas Hawkins of Austin, Texas, Zachariah Hawkins of Hereford, Texas, Ceciley Hawkins of Burkburnett, Texas, Kevin II of Morrilton, Calvin of Conway, Jeremy, Jordan and Josh Caudell of Harris Brake, and Julia and Amber Lovell of Lake Jackson, Texas; great-grandchildren, Payton and Calvin Hawkins, Jr. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011, at Harmony Baptist Church with Sister Jean Zulpo officiating. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Harmony Baptist Church.
