Edgar J. Dye, 86, of White Hall, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his home. Born on May 10, 1924 in White Oak, Arkansas to Edgar G. and Ivie Velma Williams Dye. He was a member of the 6th Avenue Church of Christ in Pine Bluff. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bryce Dye. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth Irene and three daughters, Janet (Lynn) Wall of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, Linda (Don) West of Benton, Arkansas and Michelle Elkins of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Lisa Weaver, David Wall, Jeff West, Jeremy West, Chad Elkins and Lee Elkins, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind one brother, J.H. Dye of Kennett, Missouri and two sisters, Marceline Dooley of Roanoke, Virginia and Priscilla Wilson of Holcomb, Missouri. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Mr. Jeff Asher, Mr. Dennis Carrow and Mr. Don McClain officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Robinson's.
