Wanda Tenola Hollis, age 94, of Ruston, Louisiana died April 27, 2011 at the Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston. She was born in Carden Bottom, Arkansas on August 22, 1916 to her late parents Oscar Shelby Anglin and Minnie Bell Lakey. She was a retired school teacher, principal, and supervisor. Her favorite activity was working on campaigns and missions for the church. She traveled to several countries, with seven trips to Romania. She spent a year in the Vancouver, Canada area where she set up a Christian school. Her life revolved around the church, and she was happiest when she could do the Lord's work. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a member of the Ruston Church of Christ. She is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years Elmer Hollis of Ruston, La., her daughters Patricia Ward and Shelley Boydstun, stepchildren Leslie Hollis, Johnny Hollis, Bankie Holley, Ronnie Roberson and Linda Self, grandchildren Sheila Yoder, Lori Conway, Barry Boydstun, Wendy Martinson, Ronny Hudson and David Hudson, eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands Edward Muse Hudson and Russell Roberson, son Edward Hudson, Jr., parents Oscar Shelby and Minnie Anglin, sisters Juanita Dusenberry Watts, Leviathian Hankins and Lavelle Mills. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Ruston Church of Christ. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ruston Church of Christ, 2300 Woodward Dr., Ruston, La. 71270.
