Jim Mashburn

Mr. Jim Mashburn, 71, of Hermitage, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Mashburn was a native of Lepanto, Arkansas; a resident of the Longview Community in Bradley County for the past 14 years and a former resident of Hamburg and Bastrop, Louisiana. He was a retired Logger and a member of the Mill Creek Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked dirt track racing. He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa Ann Mashburn; his father, Robert Mashburn and a sister, Carolyn Kay Yates. He is survived by three sons, Jimbo Mashburn of Hermitage; Bobby Mashburn and Craig "Bubbie" Mashburn both of Hamburg; a daughter, Stacey Throesch of Pocahontas; two step-daughters, Stephanie Gwin of Monticello and Elaine Watt of Crossett; his mother, Willie Mae Watson Mashburn of Pleasant Plaines; two brothers, Donald Wayne Mashburn of Searcy and George Henry Mashburn of Pleasant Plaines; two sisters, Ruby Anderson of Cabot and Jean Everridge of Pleasant Plaines; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 13, in the Carter Cemetery in Russell, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
