Kimbro Johnson

Mr. Kimbro Johnson, 80, of Montrose, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was a native of Watson, Arkansas and a resident of Montrose for over 63 years. He was a lifelong farmer in Montrose and the surrounding area. He was a member of the Montrose Baptist Church and he loved to hunt with his boys and grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey & Doris Rotten Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanette Shelton Johnson of Montrose; two sons, Jackie Johnson and wife, Peggy, of Portland and Bruce Johnson and wife, Betty, of Montrose; a brother, Bobby Johnson and wife, Jean, of Montrose; a sister, Kathleen Ward and husband, James, of Crossett; a sister-in-law, Sherlene Jacobs of El Dorado; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Montrose Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Fergurson and Rev. Larry Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in the Montrose Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wesley Johnson, Darren Johnson, Bernard Barnes Todd Blocker, Donnie Simpson and Randall Johnson. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, at the Montrose Baptist Church.
