Frank Jay "RuJay" Burke

Mr. Frank Jay "Rujay" Burke age 66, of Forrest City, Arkansas died Friday, August 19, 2011 at his home. Mr. Burke was born July 18, 1945 in Forrest City where he lived his entire life. He was the son of the late Frank Jay Burke Jr. and Laurie Williams Burke Moore. Mr. Burke was the director of marketing and governmental affairs for APAC and spent his career working for the highway industry. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Burke married Sandra Stoker Burke in 1972. She survives him along with a daughter, Amy Burke Shumate and husband Clayton and two grandchildren, Maddox and Addison all of Marion, Arkansas; a sister, Gay Burke Moskowitz and a niece, Erin Moskowitz both of Memphis. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City, with Gene Crawley officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
