Kenneth Fudge

Kenneth Fudge Your life was full of loving deeds, forever thoughtful of our special needs, Today and tomorrow, my whole life through, I will always love and cherish you. Today we rejoice in the knowledge that Kenneth Fudge passed the barrier of time as we know it and is forever at home with his Lord and Savior. Kenneth was born on Nov. 11, 1922 in Zion, Ark.. the son of the late Ray and Clara Fudge. He was the oldest of seven siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Tom Fudge and one sister, Mary Francis Fudge. Kenneth attended public schools in and around K-City and Evening Shade. Upon his high school graduation Kenneth joined the United States Coast Guard where he served in World War II . After leaving the Coast Guard he returned to Arkansas where he graduated from the University of Arkansas with he Bachelor's degree. After graduation Kenneth taught in the public school system for five years in the Arkansas area. Kenneth then continued his education, graduating from the University of Arkansas with his master's degree in land and soil. He then went to work for the Federal Land and Bank as a manager in Searcy, Ark. He then moved to Hope, Ark. where he worked as an assistant manager until his retirement. Kenneth was a lifelong member of the Masons and a member and Deacon of Millwood Baptist Church in Ashdown, Ark. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Mary Alice from Ashdown; daughter, Theresa Laverty from Little Rock, Ark., special stepdaughter Mary Ann Chandler also of Ashdown; two stepsons, Larry and Mike Richardson of Dallas; one brother, Robert Fudge of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Clara Neil stone of Conway, Ark. and Virginia Jones of Little Rock, Ark., two grandsons; three-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks that all donations be made to Millwood Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at Millwood Baptist church with the Revs. Tim perkins and James Hughes officiating under the direction of Madden Funeral Home, Ashdown, Ark. on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at 10. The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 from 6 to 8.
