James Thomas Garcia
James Thomas Garcia, 79, of Shirley, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011. He was born December 26, 1931 at New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a member and deacon of Shirley First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Rapp Rhodes and John Rhodes, and an infant son, T. Garcia, Jr., a sister, Gertrude Culkins, a son in law, Bill Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Alice Cavalier Garcia, sons, George and Charles Garcia of Luling, La.; Frank Garcia, Sr. of Shirley, Riley; daughters, Bobbi Arceneaux of Lutcher, La.; and Jenny Thomas of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Luke Garcia, Beau Garcia, Dusti Douglass, Kris Douglass, Amber Douglass, Shane Hancock, Rebecca Garcia, Frank Garcia, Jr., Niel Thomas, Sara Thomas Cart, James Andrew Thomas, and several great-grandchildren and sisters, Shirley Taylor of Avondale, La.; Joan and husband David LeBlanc of Bay Saint Louis and many friends and relatives.
