Dan LeMoyne Bates

DAN LeMOYNE BATES, 83, of Mabelvale, died on Nov. 30, 2011. He was born in Little Rock to the late P. A. and VanAlyce Bates on Sept. 26, 1928. He was preceded in death by his wife Lovine and his daughter Karla. He served proudly in the Army as a radiotech. A lifelong member of Mabelvale Church of Christ, he retired from the post office. After retirement, he was the owner of The Snowhouse on Mann Road. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Kerri Mills, and her husband, Jason; his sister, Barbara L. Estes; and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held at Mabelvale Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, with Pastor Dennis Gulledge officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
