Tommy Josh Pile, who resided in Ratcliff, Ark., passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. He was born May 28, 1937, in Forth Smith, Ark., to the late Ivo Buck Pile and Nona Black (Chancey) Pile. He was 74 years old. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, on brother, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter. Tommy Josh was a retired dairy farmer, served in the U.S. Navy, and was of the Catholic faith. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 5, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Rev. Bill Van Meter officiating. Burial will be at Lowes Creek Cemetery, north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mary Pile, of the home; two daughters, Teresa Schneider and husband, Kevin, of Paris, and Carolyn Harding and husband, Tony, of Killeen, Texas; one step-daughter, Amber Thompson and husband, Charles, of Barling; five grandchildren; one great grandchild, and his companion, "Pepper" the dog. Pallbearers will be Johnny Jones, Kedric Paschal, Chuck Parsons, Danny Clark, Bill Koch, and Scott Tober. Family will visit with friends 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., SUnday, at the funeral home in Paris.
