Susan Porter-Levy

Susan Porter-Levy, 56, died peacefully on Monday, December 5th with family by her side. Dr. Porter-Levy received her B.S. in Psychobiology from Southwestern at Memphis (Rhodes College) her MS in Psychology from Murray State University, and her doctoral degree from FIT. She was a psychologist in private practice in McKinney, Texas for the past several years where she was loved by all of her clients for her caring spirit and spiritual intellect. Susan also moderated a support group for cancer survivors. Preceding her in death was her father, Dr. William I. Porter, step-father, H. Price Roark and brother-in-law, David K. Rayburn, She is survived by her mother, Jane Porter Roark, husband Dr. Raymond L. Levy, daughter, Rachel Hannah Levy, sisters, Dr. Cynthia Porter Rickert (Dr. Vaughn), nephews Jeffrey, 2nd Lt. Ryan, and Mason; Catherine Porter Rayburn, nephew, Lucas Rayburn; brother Michael Porter (Tamara), nieces, Channing, Mallory, and nephew Ethan Porter. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society, SPCA, or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends during a visitation at the Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.) Thursday, December 8th, from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Unity Church of Dallas, on Friday, December 16th from 6-9 p.m. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501) 224-2200.
