Kenneth Shepard

Kenneth Shepard, 80, of Benton died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Bryant. He was born February 19, 1931 in Hereford, Texas to Henry and Mary Shepard. Kenneth served in the U S Navy and retired from Alcoa. He was a member of the Good Sam's Club. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Herman and David and the love of his life, wife Mary Beth. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Liz Alvarez and husband George, of El Sobrante, CA.; and a very special grandson, Steffan, that he loved very much. One sister, Donna Wolf and husband Wayne, of Hot Springs; two brothers, James Shepard and wife Betty, of North Little Rock; Ronnie Shepard and wife Peggy, of Lemont, Illinois; several nieces and nephews, and good friend Linda Hearn and husband Joe, and many others. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 1 p.m., Saturday with Bro. Kim Hammer and Jimmy Elrod officiating. Visitation will be 12 noon till 1 p.m. before services on Saturday. Family comments: Ken loved to pick and joke with people. He was easy to love. He truly enjoyed the years he and Beth traveled across the United States. This past year he enjoyed residing at Mt. Carmel, where he loved to laugh, visit and drink coffee with his friends. We want to thank all the staff at Saline Memorial Hospice, Heartland Rehab, Mt.
