Elijah Allen Sr. 86, of Wrightsville, AR departed this life peacefully at home on Friday, December 9, 2011. He was born in Mound Bayou, MS on June 7, 1925 to Tom and Nersisa Allen. He was a 24 year Employee of 3M Company. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Elijah will be remembered for his quiet and gentle demeanor and his hard and diligent work ethics. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Archie B. Allen; his parents, Tom and Nersisa Allen; one son, Terry Allen; one grandson, Curtis Lamar Smith; six brothers and one sister. Survivors cherishing his memories: five daughters, Linda F. Fulton (David), Patricia A. Alexander (Levester), Angela E. Owens, (Sam) his special care giver and Pamela K. Lewis (Danny), all of Little Rock, Judy Hardy (Patrick) of Rosenburg, Texas; and one son, Elijah A. Allen Jr. of Little Rock; one sister, Gertrude Linley of Adrian, Mich.; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank all his dedicated caregivers, at home and at Baptist Hospital during his last days of illness. Family hour will be Friday, December 16, 2011, 7:30-8:30 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. Little Rock, Ark. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011, 11 a.m., at Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church 3824 Antioch Blvd. College Station, Ark., Bishop Kenneth Robinson, Pastor and Rev.
