Donna Marie Hill

DONNA MARIE TRIPLETT HILL, 60, of Jacksonville, Ark., passed peacefully on Dec. 16, 2011, at home, comforted by her husband and daughter. She was born on June 22, 1951, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Charles and Bettye Triplett. Donna was beloved by her family and friends and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Donna graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1969 and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She worked for Arkansas Power and Light in Human Resources before Multiple Sclerosis caused her to retire early. Donna's greatest service was the courage and grace by which she fought MS for over 35 years. A woman of faith and member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Donna inspired all who knew her through her peaceful confidence in God's provision and unwavering joy in the midst of suffering. For few people is the commendation "well-done, good and faithful servant" more fitting. Donna is survived by her devoted husband William R "Bill" Hill, who worked tirelessly in the care for her throughout the course of her illness and was with her faithfully through her final days; her loving daughter, Cheryl Davis and husband Paul; Nana's grandsons, Robert and Colton Davis; her parents, Charles L and Bettye Triplett, of Pine Bluff; her brothers, Col. (retired) Charles L Triplett Jr. and wife Elizabeth, of Burke, Va., Thomas Triplett, of Springdale, and David Triplett, of Hot Springs; her extended family and many loving and faithful friends. The family wishes to specially thank Dr. Robert L. Archer of UAMS and Arkansas Hospice for their professional and compassionate care. There will be visitation Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Moore's Funeral Home, 1504 Loop Road, Jacksonville, followed by a funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 1 p.m., at Second Baptist Church, 1117 North James Street, Jacksonville, Ark., officiated by Rev. Timothy King and Dr. Steven Walter and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pine Bluff, Ark. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Funeral Home 501-982-2136.
