Hazel Poindexter

HAZEL H. POINDEXTER, age 92, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Dec. 15, 2011. She was born on Aug. 12, 1919, to the late William T. Flint and Mary C. Hahn, in Polk County, Mo. Hazel was an avid reader. She was retired from the North Little Rock School District. Hazel was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church as well for many years. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Ray Poindexter; one brother, Charlie Flint and one sister, Ruby Troyer. She is survived by her daughter Linda Goodwin and husband Buddy, of North Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Earl Flint and wife, Ava, of Bolivar, Mo.; three grandchildren, William Goodwin, David Goodwin, both of North Little Rock, Ark., and Ashley Bader and husband Cory, of Lodi, Wisc. Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association and to the Lakewood United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, from 2 – 4 p.m., at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark., 72117 501-835-3515. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel with Rev. Richard Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
