He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ruby Lee Stell Dixon, his parents, A.E. and Lavada (Dick) Dixon and two brothers, Leonard and Lyman Dixon. Von was known for the love of his Boston Terriers, and he and his wife kept constant companionship with one for the last 36 years of his life. He will be greatly missed and remembered for how he faced each physical battle with a fighting spirit and faith in a good outcome. Graveside services will be Friday, December 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The body may be viewed at Harris Funeral Home.
