Delma Laverne Spencer

Delma Laverne Spencer, 79, of Wichita, Kansas died December 25, 2011 at Haysville Healthcare Center, in Haysville, Kansas. She was born April 8, 1932 in Searcy to the late John and Elizabeth Light Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mabern Spencer, one son, David Spencer; four brothers; Carl, Herman, Arlie, and Horace Jones, five sisters; Evelyn Gullion, Ida Mae Spencer, Geneva Clooten, Alice Wylie Smith, and Ellen Shorter. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Spencer of Wichita, Kansas and Michael Spencer of Lansing Kansas, one brother; Winfred "Pete" Jones of Benton, Ark.; two sisters, Jonnie Odell Harbison of Wayne, Michigan, and Betty Haley of Ceres, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jason, and Matthew Spencer, both of Wichita, Shelly Miller of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Kristen Spencer of Haysville, Kansas, and eight great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, December 29, from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 2 p.m. at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
