R.J. Nova Gumm

R.J. Nova Gumm, 90, of Gentry, Arkansas, died December 25, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. Born July 20, 1921, in Strawberry, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Robert J. Terry and Delia Sides Terry. She was a member of the first graduating class from Clover Bend High School, Clover Bend, Arkansas, and attended Arkansas State College in Batesville. She worked for the State of Arizona in various supervisory positions and has lived in Arkansas since 2008. She was a member of Bethany Bible Church, Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wilford W. Gumm; one son, Terry Gumm; four sisters, Verlon Foster, Marie McCampbell, Mary Horned, and Bobbie Brooks. Survivors include two sons, Billy Allen Gumm and wife Catherine of Phoenix, Arizona, and Robert Daley Gumm and wife Lori of Mena, Arkansas; one daughter, Delia Haak and husband Bill of Gentry; one sister, Alene Grissom of Hoxie, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Matthew Gumm, Mark Gumm, Luke Haak, Robert Haak, Brian Gumm, and Bill Haak. Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice Chapel, Springdale, Arkansas. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 30, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Mark Gumm officiating.
