Irma Katherine Osterman

Irma Katherine Osterman, 93, of Little Rock, passed away December 28, 2011. She was born in North Dakota to John and Barbara Bueshe Schweigert, who preceded her in death along with four brothers and sisters. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and taught school for many years. She was also an international needle lace maker who taught needle lace making all over the world and authored three books on the art. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald Osterman; daughters, Shirley Love of Little Rock, Peggy Bowen and husband, Johnny of West Fork, and Katherine Flewelling and husband, William of New Martinsville, West Virginia; sister, Bea May of Madison, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, December 31 at 1 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. William Flewelling.
