Ernestine "Mama Ernie" Kimbrell

Ernestine "Mama Ernie" Kimbrell age 97 of Ash Flat, Arkansas died January 30, 2011 at Eaglecrest Nursing Home. She was born December 2, 1913 at Hohenlinden, Mississippi to Homer and Vadie Hastings. She was a loving homemaker and a member of the Cherokee Village Baptist Church in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Ross Kimbrell, two brothers, Arvis Hastings and Avery Hastings, and two sisters, Pauline Miller and Sue Davis. Survivors include two sons, Jim Kimbrell of Current View, Missouri and Jack Kimbrell and wife Glenda of Highland, Arkansas, three daughters Nell Allen and husband Jim of Conway, Arkansas, Nita Johnston and husband Bill of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Sanna Burlison and husband Bill of Olive Branch, Mississippi, 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Tri-County Funeral Home with Pastor Robin Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mississippi County Memorial Gardens Cemetery at approximately 2 p.m. located in Osceola. All arrangements are by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Tri-County Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Dr. Tom Kimbrell, Dr. Tim Kimbrell, Kim Allen, Albert Brown, Don Johnston, and Ron Burlison.
