Everett Houston Montgomery went to heaven on February 1, 2011. He was 84 years old. Everett is now with his Lord, his parents, and his beloved wife Louann. Everett was born on March 8, 1926 in Graysonia, Arkansas. He grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas and was a proud graduate of Hot Springs High School. Everett was a tile craftsman by trade and a member of the Bricklayers union. He lived most of his life in Little Rock, Arkansas and was a devout member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Everett served his country with distinction in World War II with the Navy Seabees in the New Guinea combat theatre and was recognized with the Victory Medal for his service. Everett is predeceased by his parents, Doss and Bertha Montgomery and his wife Louann Montgomery. Everett is survived by his sons, Greg and Brad Goldsborough; two grandchildren, Sean and Grace Goldsborough; two sisters, La Verne Brown and Francis Montgomery; and his dear friends, Terry and Betty Hitchcock. Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock (501) 224-8300. Graveside funeral services will be on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Rose Lawn Park cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
