Carrell Jeffrey Barnes

Carrell Jeffrey Barnes of Ozark, formerly of Springdale, Ark., died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 in Ozark. He was a feed mill supervisor with Swift Company and Tyson over 30 years, a member of the Ozark Free Will Baptist Church, and a US Army veteran serving during Korean conflict. He was born Jan. 9, 1930 in Fayette, Ala. to Carrel C. and Sadie Dunn Barnes. He was preceded in death by his wife Agatha Morsani Barnes, one brother, Aubra D. Barnes , and one sister Nina I. Creager. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Reverend Kendall Ross and Reverend Steve Sawrie officiating, with burial at Woodland Cemetery in Clarksville, Ark., under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. He is survived by two daughters, Gwin Ellison of Ozark, Ark., and Carrol Robertson of Austin, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Earline Lewis of Owasso, Okla. and Ondella Baker of Waynesboro, Miss.; two stepsons, Cleve Rogers of Plano, Texas and George Smith of Baker, Fla.; a sister, Faye Vickery of Paris, Ark.; two brothers, Otis Barnes of Arlington, Tenn., and Stanley Barnes of Newport Richie, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Allan, Shayne, Aaron, Jeffrey and David Ellison, and Brent Carper. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Vickery, Kip Smith and Shane Baker. The family will receive friends at 6–8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 7 at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial, Ozark, Ark.
