Joyce Colvert Lunday of Sheridan, Ark. was born July 7, 1937 at Bearden, Ark., the daughter of the late Howard Colvert, Sr. and Evie Sullivant Colvert. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Bible Church at Sheridan, was former owner of Gingham and Oak and was former division manager for Sears and Roebuck. Mrs. Lunday was an avid reader, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, and was a self-taught piano and organ player. Her family was the greatest joy of her life and she loved being a mother and grandmother. Mrs. Lunday died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 73. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest William Lunday; a daughter, Alethea Rea Lunday; siblings, Helen Rea Colvert, Louise Redding, Howard Colvert Jr., Carolyn Brazil and Gary Colvert. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Becky Lunday of Mountain Home and Wade and Vicki Lunday of Sheridan; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Dan Harris of Sheridan; very special niece and husband, Roni and Jim Bourgoin of Sherwood; sister, Glenda Gail Flynn of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Tyler and Kelsey Harris, Jake and Michelle Lunday, Britt, Bryce and Braden Lunday, Melissa, Wesley and Ryan Bourgoin and Devin Capata. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 7, 2011 at Grace Fellowship Bible Church in Sheridan with Bro. Jeff Lisenbey and Bro. Shaun Richard officiating.
