Edwin Owen Cook

Edwin Owen Cook, 75, of Judsonia, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011. He was born Nov. 24, 1935 in Russell, a son of the late Worthy Preston and Mildred O'Neal Cook. Mr. Cook was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, receiving his Bachelors degree in Pharmacy. In earlier years, he enjoyed deer hunting and the outdoors. He was of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with his family. Attending the various activities his great-nieces and nephews were involved in were among his favorite things to do. Survivors include his sister, Wanda Bright of North Little Rock; nieces, Debra Tomlinson of Maumelle, Sheri Grooms and husband Jocko of Greenbrier and Deanna Fleming of Little Rock; great-nieces and nephews, Cash Tomlinson, Heather Cole, Halie Grooms, Hayes Grooms, Olivia Fleming, Worthy Fleming and Cade Fleming; great-great-niece, Rylie Tomlinson. A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. A visitation with the family will follow the service from 7-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to: UAMS CARTI, 4301 W.
