Doris Rae Harris

Doris Rae Harris, 71, of Sherwood, died Sunday, February 6. She was born June 16, 1939, the daughter of Richard and Molly Johnson of Rockwood, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a daughter, Kimmala Harris. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald G. Harris of Sherwood, Arkansas; sons Kenneth Harris of Beebe, Arkansas, and Jeffery Harris of Sherwood; grandsons, Joshua and Steel Harris of Beebe, and Brahm Harris of Sherwood; granddaughters, Stephanie Harris of Beebe, Belice Harris and step-granddaughter, Madison McElroy, both of Sherwood; a sister, Virginia Mansker and a brother, William L. Johnson of Rockwood, Illinois; nephews, Kirby, Randy, and Gorden Mansker and Kerry and Jay Johnson; nieces, LaCleta Hall, Sherry Nansker, Melodie Rushing and Martha Yankey. Doris was retired from the Pulaski County School district where she dedicated 30 years of service as a nutrition manager. She gave many years volunteering with the Girl Scouts. She was a military wife and traveled extensively with her family while Ronald served 34 years for this country. Doris will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Cemetery in Rockwood, Illinois. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
