Dr. Lina Rowe Godfrey

Dr. Lina R. Godfrey, recently retired professor at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, departed this life February 1, 2011. She was born in Cascade Hanover, Jamaica on August 27, 1923. She was the second child born to Mr. Duncan L. and Mersy Godfrey. Her brother, Leroy, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory close family members: Andrew Tulloch, who she loved and treated like a son; Bobbie Crichton (Canada); Hugh Harris and Winston Hume (Jamaica); and Oby Nwankwo and family; and many other relatives and friends in Jamaica, Canada, and the United States. Funeral arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Visitation will be Thursday, February 10 from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, February 11 at First Presbyterian, 717 West 32nd Avenue, with Rev. Lance Clemmons officiating. Burial will be in Kingston, Jamaica.
