Elizabeth Joyce Bunten

Elizabeth Joyce Bunten, 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011, at Saline Memorial Hospice House. Elizabeth, or Betty as most knew her, spent her entire career in banking retiring in 1991 from OneBank as Comptroller and Assistant Vice President. She was very involved with the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs serving as President of the North Little Rock Chapter in 1979. She was named Woman of the Year in 1981. In her retirement she continued to be very active turning to various charitable endeavors including Birthright, VFW, and fundraising efforts. She was an active member at St. Edwards Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She is survived by her four sons, Bill and wife Naomi of Birmingham, England, Steve of Ft. Collins, Colo., Andrew and wife Leigh of Bryant, Ark., Eddie and wife Julia of Little Rock; one daughter, Teresa of Atlanta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Dan of Little Rock, Ark. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 801 Sherman St, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
